Description : Private luxury overlooking Bath Abbey and the recreational gardens

The Ayrlington is one of the most attractive small hotels in Bath, situated within a few minutes level walk from the City centre. A fine listed period building built in beautiful warm Bath stone it sits within a walled garden affording exceptional views of the City and medieval Abbey.

The interior combines elegant decor with superb classical furnishing, creating an ambience of warmth and tranquillity.

The Ayrlington provides the discerning business and leisure traveler with quality accommodation, home cuisine, licensed bar, use of the landscaped gardens, and a high standard of personal service plus the advantage of a large private car park. Privately owned and run by the Roper family.

An extensive refurbishment this year has resulted in the provision of a very high standard of accommodation whilst preserving the period features of many rooms. Some of the principal bedrooms feature traditional oak four poster beds and spa whirlpool baths. All of the en-suite bedrooms have been individually designed and themed and include satellite colour TV, direct dial telephone, clock/radio, hospitality tray and hair dryer.

Bath is acknowledged as one of the loveliest cities in the world. It is one of the few to be granted World Heritage status, which recognizes its exceptional beauty, history, elegance, culture and architecture.

The City has welcomed visitors since Roman times and today you can enjoy spectacular views and a special ambience wherever you choose to wander.

There are many places of interest awaiting your enjoyment. The magnificent Roman Baths, the splendid medieval Abbey, the Museum of Costume and the Pump Rooms head the list, and everywhere you will admire the graceful Georgian architecture.

Bath is also famous for its superb shopping facilities enriched by attractive floral displays and the cheerful colour of musicians, clowns, jugglers and other street entertainers.

There is a range of evening entertainment whatever your taste. As well as the usual restaurants, cafes, cinemas and clubs, the elegant Theatre Royal presents many productions otherwise unseen outside London.

The City is centrally situated in an area rich in further attractions. This makes it convenient for visiting the many nearby historic houses, monuments, towns and picturesque villages.

Bath is able to offer you a wealth of enjoyment and we believe that like most visitors you will leave with fond memories and a desire to return.

Cuisine
Guests are served an excellent home cooked breakfast in the elegant dining room overlooking the walled garden and the Abbey beyond. You will find a range of alcoholic and soft drinks available in the delightful drawing room bar.

Service
The proprietors and staff of The Ayrlington are totally committed to your comfort and relaxation.
