David and Jane Carnegie welcome you to our lovely Edwardian property located close to the city sights, marina and peaceful country walks along the river Avon. We are fortunate in having a car park (free of charge) and unrestricted on-road parking outside the hotel. The pretty riverside walk to the centre is 30 minutes or there is a bus stop outside the hotel with buses passing every 12 minutes. The handy Park and Ride service operates close by and the return fare to the centre is £2.50 - so you can leave your car safely parked with us and enjoy a stress-free stay.
Our rooms, all individually furbished to a high standard, have new ensuite facilities and are well-equipped for the needs of the 21st century traveller. Extras in all rooms include free WIFI, Sky TV and Freeview, Fairtrade beverages, hairdryer, trouser press and iron and toiletries. We also offer guest internet access on a computer in one of our two lounges. Enjoy a drink in front of an open fire in our sunny lounge/bar, order an evening snack or relax in our lovely garden in the warmer months.
To start the day we offer a complimentary breakfast selection to suit your appetite : grapefruit, fruit juices, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheeses, creamy scrambled egg with smoked salmon, a traditional English breakfast using locally sourced produce with toast and a choice of Columbian filter coffee (and decaf), various leaf and fruit teas or hot chocolate.
We are ideally situated to explore the surrounding area, including Longleat, Stonehenge, Wookey Hole, Cheddar, Wells, Bristol, medieval villages and areas of outstanding natural beauty.
