Combe Down B&B is a lovely, family-run 1920s house, with lots of personal touches and a cosy feel. Our private rooms can always be treated as a home away from home, and an inclusive full English breakfast is served in the downstairs dining room.
We have on-street parking and off-street parking by arrangement. A nearby bus service runs frequently to/from Bath city centre, which is only a 25-minute walk away. We're sure you'll enjoy staying with us, and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Our Rooms:
There are 2 rooms available (one large double and a good sized single, with a private bathroom). Both overlook the garden at the back of the house, which is very quiet.
Your privacy will be guaranteed as only one room is let at a time. However, families/friends are welcome to use both rooms and an extra single room can be made available if requested.

Directions from City Centre:
Find the A36, south of the main railway station and the River Avon, and turn onto the A3062 ( Prior Park Road leading into Ralph Allen Drive ). Follow the A3062 upwards to the crossroads at the very top of the hill and turn right, still on the A3062, onto North Road which becomes the Bradford Road . Continue straight for about 500m until you pass the main entrance into the MOD site, on your right, and take the first road right after that (Fox Hill). Continue for 150m, past the junction on the left, and No 5 Fox Hill is on the right.
Directions from the M4:
Leave the M4 at Junction 18 and follow signs into bath on the A46. After about 8 miles branch left, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A4 (signposted Bath ). At Cleveland Place turn left onto the A36 (signposted Through Traffic, University). Go past the fire station and over some pedestrian lights and bear right towards the City Centre at the first proper set of traffiic lights (signposted All Other Routes).
Pass through some traffic lights (just after Great Pultney Street on your right) and continue forward to a roundabout. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A36 (signposted Bristol ). Pass through more traffic lights (under a bridge) and continue to a bend to the right in the road. On the bend, take the second left turn (of 2 roads that are very close together) onto the A3062 ( Prior Park Road leading up into Ralph Allen Drive ).
Follow the A3062 upwards to the crossroads at the very top of the hill and turn right, still on the A3062, onto North Road which becomes the Bradford Road . Directions from Bristol & the West:
Follow the A4 into Bath on the Lower Bristol Road and follow directions as from the City Centre.
Directions from the South:
Follow the A367 into the outskirts of Bath and turn right onto the A3062 at the top of the Wellsway at Odd Down. Continue over the double mini roundabout (Tesco store/garage on your right) and go straight on. Continue over the next crossroads and on past some shops on your left. Fox Hill is the next left turn after that. Turn left into Fox Hill and Continue for 150m, past the junction on the left, and No 5 Fox Hill in on the right.

Our normal policy for weekend bookings is that a minimum 2-night stay is required.
However, we occasionally offer one-night bookings with a £10 supplement per room.
A discount of £5 per room per night is offered for all bookings of 3 nights or more.
