Description :

Our House

From the outside Cranleigh looks like any other well kept Victorian semi in the quite suburban area just 1 ½ miles from the city centre. Its not until you walk down the path and peer through the large Victorian glass doors that you know you have found the perfect place to stay.

This is no ordinary house with no ordinary hosts – you will be offered a very warm welcome and personal care from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.

Our Rooms

We have a selection of room – Doubles, Twins, Four Posters and Family.  As you are shown to your room you will get your first real impression of how a Victorian middle class family lived – from the sweeping staircase, original fireplaces, large sash windows to chandeliers and cornices. • luxurious en-suite bathrooms
  • TV's with LCD screens
  • DVD players with selection of popular DVD's
  • WIFI broadband Internet

  • Fantastic in the Winter - When the temperatures drops the water temperature is raised - so you'll never be cold even if its below zero outside!
  • Great for that special Romantic Surprise - especially during the evening when you are under the stars.
  • Total relaxation all year round  - Come rain or sun, you will find the hot bubbly water just melts your stresses away.

The Hot Tub is available from 10am to 9pm. You book a time slot and the hot tub is exclusively yours for 2 hours. Bookings are limited and subject to availability so if you have a particular time in mind it is best to pre book before you arrive.

Directions :

BATH CITY CENTRE TO CRANLEIGH

We are located 1 1/12 miles west of the city on the A431.

Leaving Bath via Queens Square (with Francis Hotel and Obelisk), look for signs towards A4 Bristol, Newbridge, Weston or Royal United Hospital. At 2nd set of traffic lights at "The Weston" pub the road forks - take the right fork onto the A431, and at mini roundabout exit slightly LEFT.

CRANLEIGH is about 1/4 mile on LEFT (on A431)

M4 / A46 TO CRANLEIGH AVOIDING CITY CENTRE & ONE-WAY SYSTEM

(This saves at least half an hour plus MUCH frustration)

Leave M4 at Junction 18 and take the A46 to BATH, through the village of PENNSYLVANIA.

At next ROUNDABOUT turn RIGHT on A420 towards BRISTOL and after 1/3 mile follow sign to filter LEFT to "LANSDOWN Park and Ride". Along this country lane - road dips down then rises to T junction - bear LEFT and UP hill along a flat plain, past the Racecourse & Golf course then road bends left. There is a large pub called the Blathwayt Arms on the right.

About 300 yards/metres past pub take RIGHT turn at new junction to WESTON. Going down the hill, passengers can admire the view, driver keep eyes on the road. At bottom of hill there is a mini roundabout: take LEFT exit. Go through village & past pedestrian crossing and "Crown and Anchor" pub then turn RIGHT into ANCHOR ROAD which becomes PENN HILL ROAD. (Signposted BRISTOL)

At the end of this road (approx. half a mile) turn LEFT at T junction.

CRANLEIGH is 500 yards on RIGHT.

APPROACHING BATH ON A36 FROM WARMINSTER.

Down towards Bath on A36 & keeping LEFT following sign A36 BRISTOL & CITY CENTRE.

At next junction LEFT on A36 (A4) to BRISTOL. Just carry on, over roundabout, under bridge, still following signs A36 (A4) BRISTOL

Left under Railway Arches, past Toyota & Renault garages, signs change to A4 BRISTOL. Past MITSUBISHI garage, keep to centre lane and after BMW garage, at next lights, turn RIGHT to BRISTOL A4 (A431). Over the bridge, past Gas storage tanks (on right) and at lights turn LEFT to BRISTOL A4 (A431).

At next lights (with "The Weston" pub on your left) take RIGHT fork to BITTON A431, at mini roundabout bear left A431 Bitton & Kelston.

CRANLEIGH is about 1/4 mile on LEFT

APPROACHING BATH ON A39 FROM WELLS

As you near Bath look for and follow sign to PARK & RIDE (NEWBRIDGE). Take the FIRST LEFT after the Park & Ride entrance, (Old Newbridge Hill). This steep hill has a sharp bend to the right. At the T junction at the top of hill, turn RIGHT.
