You have made the right choice — York is a great place to visit and stay. Here at the Blue Bridge you are just a stone‘s throw from the many attractions in the City of York.
Your walk into the City centre is a five minute stroll along the banks of the River Ouse. The advantage for you at the Blue Bridge is easy access to the City Centre. If you arrive by car, you can leave it behind in our private, on site, car park, because you are close enough to walk to most attractions. This means that if you are planning an excursion out of the city, you can soon reach the main routes A19 and A64 trunk roads to the City‘s ''ring roads'' and all other major roads.

Close to the hotel, the York Barbican Centre offers a range of leisure activities including swimming, exercise classes and a 1,500 seat auditorium.

South and West from M1 A1 M62
You will eventually come on to the A64 York-Leeds road. Take the third exit for York, sign posted York City Centre A19. Turn left on to the A19 and we are 2 miles on the right hand side.

West and North from A1 and A59
Follow City Centre signs. At Micklegate Bar (large stone gateway) take right at lights. Follow signs for Barbican Leisure Centre. Cross the river, stay in the right hand lane, follow road markings for A19 Selby. Follow road to right, leaving City walls behind you. Take centre lane, straight for 300 yards. We are on the left.
