Built in the 17th Century Laurel Cottage retains many features from sturdy oak beams, brass, copper andto the nooks and crannies of a bygone age. Situated one minute''s stroll from Bowness Bay at the heart of Old Bowness, reputedly the oldest building in the village.

The property continues to offer the charm and character of centuries past whilst giving guests all the comforts of the present. Laurel Cottage was recently visited by Judith Chambers and was featured in the BBC Holidays Magazine.

Our individually designed bedrooms include single, double, twin and family rooms and the majority are en-suite with colour television. We will be pleased to advise you on where to eat or drink, places to visit and sights to see. Membership of the Parklands Leisure Club is available.

Directions : DIRECTIONS TO LAUREL COTTAGE

Leave Motorway M6 at Junction 36. Take A590 following signs for WINDERMERE(16 Miles). You will bypass KENDAL, at the next roundabout and then follow A591 to WINDERMERE. Turn left into WINDERMERE at the WINDERMERE HOTEL, follow sign "BOWNESS AND THE LAKE" for one mile, cross mini round about at the bottom of the hill. Turn left after 50 Yards. Church will be on your right and GHT AND LAUREL COTTAGE is 30 yards from the KENDEL road on the left.
